SPMS School Site Council Parent Elections

The South Pasadena Middle School Site Council will elect new members for the 2012-2013 school-year during Back to School Night on September 5th, from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM. Balloting will be held in the Auditorium. Members are elected for a one-year term and attend approximately one meeting a month during the school year.

The School Improvement Program (SIP) is a California State program of financial support for schools to continually improve instruction, services, environment and organization to meet the needs of students.  The Education Code requires participating schools to establish a School Site Council of community members, teachers, school staff, and students who meet regularly and become familiar with SIP.

Each school must put into writing a plan for implementing the SIP.  The plan can be updated or modified based on continuous monitoring of its effectiveness, and the budget can be changed to reflect current school needs.
