School Site Council
The Role of the School Site Council The School Site Council plays an important role in decision-making at SPMS. Our SSC consists of the principal, teachers, parents, classified staff, and students. Representatives are elected: parents elect the parent representatives, teachers elect teachers and student elect student to be their representative. This group works with the principal to develop, review and evaluate school improvement programs and school budgets. During the year our SSC will consider goals of the school that align with district goals and create a schoolwide plan for improvement and then work with the principal to evaluate the school's progress toward those goals. Meetings are open for anyone to attend, they are posted on the school calendar.
