South Pasadena Middle School

The South Pasadena Middle School staff and PTA are working together to make this an awesome school year for you and your kids.  Please take a minute to read forms in the packets that were delivered to your student in their homeroom class the week of Aug. 29 - 31.  Please return the completed packets to the school office. You can use the same envelope. Please also make note of the important dates listed on the orange sheets so you don’t miss any of the great stuff we have lined up for this year.

The SPMS PTA is a valuable resource for parents and guardians, supports the teachers and staff and strives to make every student’s time at SPMS amazing.  We need your help to do this.  Please join the PTA, volunteer your time and donate generously.  It’s easy, it’s fun and it is always very rewarding to see the smiles on the student’s faces.

Please Donate To WISH NIGHT!!
Wish Night donations go directly to your child's classrooms where teachers can purchase classroom supplies that are not given to them by the school. The Wish Night Fund at SPMS works a little differently than it does at some of the Elementary schools. We ask that you give a donation to the fund and then the wish night coordinators allocate a certain percentage of the money to each teacher. We have found that this system works well and if any teachers need additional funds, we do work to accommodate their requests with monies donated later in the year.  Look for the donation form in your child's back to school packet or CLICK HERE to donate online.

Dads Uniting Dads in Education and Service is a South Pas non-profit dedicated to supporting our kids and community.  Join us, there are no dues or required donation to be a member. SPMS  programs for this year include The Camden Sports Classic on Sept. 30th for a day of gentlemanly competition.  Later in the school year look for our 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament, Oktoberfest, Live Band Karaoke, and the D.U.D.E.S.+Boosters Main Event Poker Night.  Learn more at

No Sweat Fundraising
Stay tuned later this fall for our "No Sweat" fundraiser, no back sales, no volunteer hours, no magazine drives or car washes. Just a simple donation.

SPMS PTA AWARE Parent Education Program
"Family Tip Sheet 1.  Digital Life"

As part of the launch of our new AWARE parent education program we will be sending out a month "Family Tip Sheet" from CommonSense Media.

Each tip sheet addresses a specific topic related to teen use of technology, social media etc. and they are intended to spur a "dinner table conversation" for your family.

The intention is to help you set rules and guidelines for technology use by your student and to be AWARE of how digital media impacts their lives both at home and on campus.  The first Tip Sheet is regarding Digital Life.   CLICK HERE to read or download it.
